This Monday, Germany thrashed Morocco in the first day of Group H of the Women’s World Cup.
The Germans took the lead early on, taking the lead in the 11th minute through Alexandra Popp. The striker scored twice in the 39th minute, taking the game to halftime with the score 2-0.
In the first minute of the second half, Klara Bühl increased the lead and 4-0 came soon after with an own goal from Hanane Ait El Haj. Another own goal in the 79th minute, from Yasmin Katie Mrabet, increased the difference to five and Lea Schüller closed the scoring in the 90th minute.
In the other match of the group stage, Colombia faces South Korea, in a match scheduled for 03:00 this Tuesday.
