The Philippine team beat New Zealand 1-0 on Tuesday in a match on the second day of group A of the Women’s World Cup.
The only goal of the match was scored by Sarina Bolden in the 24th minute.
On 69′, Hand still put the ball into the Filipino goal for what would be the equalizer, but the play was ruled out for offside by Hannah Wilkinson.
With this result, the Philippines adds three points – the same as New Zealand – and occupies third place in the group led by Switzerland.
Norway occupies the last position.
