The Portuguese rider Miguel Oliveira (Aprilia) withdrew this Sunday from the MotoGP Austrian Grand Prix, due to mechanical problems, when he was in 13th position.
The Almada rider, who started from eighth position, entered the RNF Aprilia team’s pit lane during the seventh lap, when he was 13th, consummating the withdrawal of the main race, after having already given up on Saturday in the sprint race, but due to the fall.
According to information provided by Sport TV, the reason for the drop this Sunday was an overheating problem in the front wheel of the Portuguese Aprilia.
This was Miguel Oliveira’s sixth loss this season, the second due to mechanical problems.
The Portuguese driver withdrew from the main races of the Portuguese, Spanish and Italian GPs, and from the sprint race of the Austrian GP, all of them due to crashes, while he withdrew from the Dutch GP due to a breakdown.
The Austrian GP is the tenth of 20 races of the season.
