The Portuguese representation finished this Sunday in fifth position in the mixed relay of the seventh race of the Triathlon World Cup, which was held in Paris and which the German team won.
Ricardo Batista, Maria Tomé, Vasco Vilaça and Melanie Santos formed the quartet of Portuguese triathletes present in the French capital, completing the course in 01:12.41 hours, just five seconds behind the last place on the podium, occupied by Belgium (01:12.36). .
The German team was the fastest in all three segments (swimming, cycling and running), winning the race in 01:12.18, ahead of second-place Great Britain in 01:12.19 and the Belgians.
