The Portuguese international Bernardo Silva has renewed his contract with Manchester City for one more season, until June 2026, the three-time English soccer club announced on Wednesday through the official website.
The 29-year-old attacking midfielder, who was linked to the ‘citizens’ by 2025, is completing his seventh season at the service of the Manchester club, in which he also joins the Portuguese internationals Rúben Dias and João Cancelo, even if the latter is safe to go out
Since he arrived at Monaco in 2017, Bernardo Silva has become one of the main players in the team led by Pep Guardiola, adding 308 appearances and 55 goals during this period.
With City he won five English Leagues, two FA Cups, four English League Cups, two Super Cups and a Champions League, the first in the history of the Manchester club, last season, in a final against Inter from Milan.
This season has already seen the club win the European Super Cup, however he did not participate in the duel with Sevilla due to injury.
