Bayern Munich were unable to finalize the transfer of João Palhinha in time for the market to close in Germany and therefore the Portuguese international will return to the UK.
German television Sky Sports explains that the English authorized Palhinha’s trip to carry out medical examinations, but the player’s transfer depended on finding a substitute on this last market day.
The London club failed to survive and therefore Palhinha has to return to England.
However, the same German channel ensures that the failure of the agreement with Palhinha does not affect the transfer of Ryan Gravenberch from Bayern to Liverpool.
