Simone Biles wants to compete again in the Paris 2024 Olympics. “Right now I would say this is the path I want to take,” the most decorated gymnast in US history admitted to NBC.
The 26-year-old gymnast returned to competition last month with two dominant performances: she won the US Classic in Chicago and another at the Nationals in San Jose, where she won her eighth career title.
Biles has been out of competition since the 2020 Tokyo Olympics when he withdrew midway through the event due to mental health issues, but still took silver on the team event and bronze on balance beam.
In addition, he had four gold medals in Rio 2016, including the everywherebut her sanity made her quit and only returned to the beam, after an episode she says was one of mind-body disconnection.
“I need to take care of myself more, listen to my body more, compared to what I could do before. Now I feel like I still doubt myself a little bit, but I’m still in therapy to make sure that everything is going well,” she revealed.
