Farense won 3–1 at home against Sporting de Braga, in the fifth round of the I Football League, moving closer to the top places and further slowing down the Minho team in the standings.
The Algarve team, which returned to the I Liga this season, reached the 2-0 with goals from Bruno Duarte (31st minute) and Rui Costa (44th), after also missing a penalty from the same Rui Costa in the 51st minute .
Braga took advantage by pushing back through Banza (56), but Farense needed just two minutes to respond through Belloumi, who guaranteed his team their second victory in the competition.
With this victory, the Faro team rises to eighth place for the time being, with six points, only one less than the ‘arsenalistas’, who take the place directly above them.
