Portuguese athlete Auriol Dongmo improved her Portuguese record in shot put this Saturday, setting it at 19.92 meters in Eugene, United States, and securing the bronze medal in the Diamond League final.
In the test that brings together, by invitation, the best athletes, the Portuguese competitor was only surpassed by the North American Chase Ealey, with 20.76, and by the Canadian Sarah Mitton, with 19.94, just two centimeters more.
The 33-year-old Portuguese achieved an outdoor best of 19.82 meters at the European Championships in Munich, Germany, in 2022.
Dongmo’s best time is on the indoor track, 20.43, achieved at the World Championships in Belgrade, also last year.
