This Tuesday, the Portuguese women’s football team achieved its first victory in Group A2 of the Nations League, beating Norway 3-2 at home, in Barcelos, in the second round.
Four days after the 2-0 defeat in France, Andreia Jacinto, at 37 minutes, and Carole Costa, at 44 and 69, both from penalties, scored the Portuguese goals, while Frida Maanum, at 32, and Elisabeth Terland, at 58, won for the Nordics.
In a group in which the first goes to the final four, the second continues in League A, the third goes to the relegation play-off and the fourth goes down to League B, Portugal rose to second position, with three points , behind France. (1-0 in Austria), which total six, and ahead of the Norwegians and Austrians, both with one.
