Spanish rider Jorge Martin (Ducati) was declared winner of the MotoGP Japanese Grand Prix, which was suspended due to rain on the 13th of 25 laps on Sunday morning, with Miguel Oliveira (Aprilia) in the 18th.
Martin was leading when the race was stopped by red flags, with Italian Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati) in second and Spaniard Marc Márquez (Honda) in third.
With these results, Bagnaia achieved 319 points, but saw Jorge Martin recover another five points and remain only three points behind in the battle for the championship.
The Portuguese rider, who reportedly finished in 18th place, had left the MotoGP Japanese Grand Prix on the 11th of 25 laps with mechanical problems, when he was in sixth place.
Miguel Oliveira, who started from 16th position, took advantage of the rain that fell at the Motegi circuit this Sunday to drive a good race, riding in fourth position and fighting for the podium.
However, on lap eleven, Oliveira started to slow down, about two seconds slower than the leader, Spaniard Jorge Martin (Ducati).
