FC Porto announced this Monday that it urgently requested a hearing from the Arbitration Council of the Portuguese Football Federation, due to “serious and repeated errors.”
“After a series of serious and repeated errors that altered the championship classification, FC Porto, Futebol SAD requested a hearing from the Arbitration Council of the Portuguese Football Federation as a matter of urgency,” write the dragons in a statement published in the official Web site .
On Friday, FC Porto lost at the Estádio da Luz against Benfica, in a match that was decided with a goal from Ángel Di María and in which the dragons played with one less player from the 19th minute, after the expulsion of Fábio Cardoso.
On Saturday, Porto’s communications director had already complained about the refereeing on X (former Twitter).
“What is happening in the Portuguese championship is too serious not to worry anyone who really loves football. Anyone who does not see what they see so well cannot have the responsibility of refereeing the matches. This is being a huge farce” , wrote Francisco J. .Marqués.
