Jorge Jesus’ Al Hilal scores first victory in the Asian Champions League

The Saudis of Al Hilal, coached by the Portuguese Jorge Jesus, today defeated the Iranians of Nassaji Mazandaran (3-0), in the second round of Group D of the Asian Champions League.

At Tehran’s Azadi Stadium, Serbia’s Mitrovic opened the scoring after the 18th minute, before Housgmand (38) received an expulsion notice for the Iranian team, as did Al Faraj, but for the Saudis, at 38.

In the second half, when both teams were reduced to 10 players, Brazilian Neymar increased the lead when the 58th minute was over, scoring for the first time for the Saudi team, and Al Shehri (90+3) set the final result.

With this win, Al Hilal now lead the group, with four points, the same as second-placed Navbahor of Uzbekistan, while third-placed Nassaji Mazandaran has three and Mumbai City remains in last place, with no points.
