Saudi Al Ittihad announced on Friday that Domingos Soares de Oliveira, who recently left Benfica, will become the new CEO of the club, which is coached by Portuguese Nuno Espírito Santo.
Al Ittihad, which has the Portuguese Jota, unveiled on social media a video welcoming Domingos Soares de Oliveira to the club, confirming that he will become the new CEO (Executive Director), after also making available several photos showing it is possible to see the manager in contact with the team and the Portuguese coach.

On September 29, Benfica confirmed the departure of manager Domingos Soares de Oliveira from the ‘incarnate’ SAD, in a statement to the Securities Market Commission (CMVM), with the payment of 1.5 million euros.
“Domingos Soares de Oliveira presented on this date his resignation as manager of Benfica SAD (and other companies integrated into the Benfica Group),” said the document released by the Portuguese club.
According to the statement, this dismissal took place following contacts between Benfica SAD and Soares de Oliveira, which resulted in the signing of “a non-competition agreement, which will take effect immediately.”
“It provides for the obligation of Domingos Soares de Oliveira, taking into account the functions performed, to a non-compete obligation (with certain territorial exceptions) and the payment, by Benfica SAD to Domingos Soares de Oliveira, of an amount of 1,500,000 euro. euro,” the information note added.
