Restricted traffic on Wednesday next to the Sporting stadium

Traffic will be restricted on Wednesday, starting at 5:45 p.m., next to the Sporting Clube de Portugal stadium in Lisbon, due to the Champions League match against French team Marseille, the PSP reported on Tuesday.

In a statement, the Lisbon Metropolitan Command of the PSP (Cometlis) explained that the traffic restrictions, in the vicinity of the José de Alvalade Stadium, will be carried out in three phases, from 5:45 p.m. to 7:15 p.m.

The first phase of this operation will take place between 5:45 p.m. and 6:17 p.m. on Avenida Professor Fernando da Fonseca (between Rua Professora Eduardo Araújo Coelho and the Visconde de Alvalade roundabout), Rua Alfredo Trindade and the exit ramp from Father Avenue. Cross.

Between 18:15 and 18:45, the second phase of this police operation takes place on Professor Fernando da Fonseca Avenue (between the Visconde de Alvalade building and the Visconde de Alvalade roundabout).

The third phase takes place between 6:45 p.m. and 7:15 p.m. at Avenida Professor Fernando da Fonseca and Rua Alfredo Trindade.

“The action of the PSP will be to minimize the impacts of these limitations, ensuring the needs of safety and road traffic in the affected places,” justifies the PSP.

Sporting Clube de Portugal hosts Marseille on Wednesday, starting at 8:00 p.m., in a match corresponding to matchday 4 of Group D of the Champions League group stage.

The Portuguese team, led by Rúben Amorim, leads group D, with six points, two more than Tottenham and Eintracht Frankfurt, while Marseille is last, with three.
