Basque police have arrested at least three people after rioting near San Sebastián’s Anoeta Stadium in the hours before the match between Real Sociedad and Benfica in the fourth round of the Champions League group stage.
According to the El Diario Vascobetween 50 and 60 hooded Benfica fans appeared in Praça Armerías, the usual meeting point for Real Sociedad fans, leading to throwing objects and attacks.
Meanwhile, the Basque police, Ertzaintza, arrived on the scene and made three arrests. However, it is not yet known which club the three arrested are supporters of.
