FC Porto condemns the attacks and wants to identify those responsible

This Tuesday, FC Porto condemned the attacks that took place on the General Assembly of the Dragons.

“The disrespect between employees, including physical attacks, that occurred during the intervention of a member of the statute review committee and after the participation of an employee are reprehensible and tarnish a centuries-old history of democratic culture”indicate the dragons in a note published on their official website.

“FC Porto’s management will use the resources at its disposal to identify those responsible for the physical attacks and will mobilize the remaining corporate bodies with a view to opening disciplinary procedures”add the Porto fans.

However, the blue and white statement emphasizes that “a much larger number of members than normal took part in this meeting, which is a sign of the vitality of FC Porto and its associative dimension, which must be highlighted as very positive”.

The Dragons also emphasize that nothing could have predicted this outcome when “the meeting started with an intervention by the President of FC Porto” in which Pinto da Costa announced “I myself voted to disapprove some articles of the proposed statutes”, who indicated “that the evening could be characterized by a frank and open debate on the proposal under consideration”.

The management of FC Porto guarantees this “will do everything possible to help the General Assembly board to ensure maximum safety conditions during next Monday’s meeting” and calls on all members to return to the main meeting, “confident that, unlike what happened yesterday, everyone will know how to rise to the moment and give FC Porto dignity”.
