Rochele Nunes, a judoka of Brazilian origin who attended her sixth World Cups, the third for Portugal, since her naturalization in 2019, could not undo the favoritism of Tolofua, fourth in the world ranking.
Benfica’s judoka (16th) started the match by beating Czech Marketa Paulusova (78th) with a ‘waza-ari’ followed by a pin (‘osaekomi’), but against Tolofua, whom she had defeated once and lost twice , she lost the same way .
