The president of Dumiense has already asked Sporting to take charge of part of the income from the tickets for the fourth day match of the Portuguese Cup next Sunday. In an interview with TSFMário Paulo reveals that he has not yet received a response, but he is not very optimistic either.
“I have already made the request officially,” affirms the president of Dumiense, recognizing that he has “the role of asking, of carrying a hat in hand” because these are “small groups, who live a lot from Christmas carols and provincialism, and always with some difficulties.”
Mário Paulo knows that he will never have all the income, but admits that “any help is welcome so as not to say ‘oh man, oh man’.” The manager of the club from the Braga district, which competes in the Portuguese championship, affirms that he has not yet received a response from Sporting.

“They said they would think about it. It’s not customary to do that nowadays, but they used to do it. As they say, it’s not guaranteed, but it’s my role to ask and I asked. If you can agree, it would be very important to us, so Otherwise, we are friends anyway and we are at the party in the same way,” he guarantees.
In Alvalade’s party there will be no shortage of support for Dumiense. From the parish of Dume, municipality of Braga, Mário Paulo assures TSF that “ten buses will travel and others will travel by their own means. Entire families will be prepared for the celebration of the Cup.”
The club leader expects “between 600 and 800 fans” at the Sporting stadium, for a match in which the objective is to “honor the shirt.”

“They are very fierce people with Dumiense and they have never experienced a moment like this. In a normal match we have between 400 and 500 fans, in the match against Sporting it is natural that we reach 800,” explains the leader of the northern club.
The Dumiense president is aware that this will be an unbalanced duel and does not expect to continue in the Cup, especially because “the priority is the championship.” For Mário Paulo, “it is as if it were an early final, with the spirit of Jamor. It will possibly be the only match for us in the Cup and we have to face it with a festive spirit.”
