The Portuguese MotoGP Grand Prix was in danger but was saved and will continue on the world speed calendar in 2024. According to DN, the race that will take place at the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve (AIA), in Portimão, was only guaranteed because of this. Friday and will be made official at around 3:30 PM during a press conference attended by the event’s CEO Paulo Pinheiro and Portuguese rider Miguel Oliveira of RFN Aprilia.
The Portuguese GP was, according to the provisional calendar released by the MotoGP organization in September, the second race of 2024, but was only closed today and with the help of the organization of the Valencia circuit, where this weekend the last race of the Motorcycle World Championship .
After the opening of the circuit in 2023, the AIA will no longer have an opening award, but will remain on the calendar, which will have 22 races next year, with the debut of Kazakhstan and the return of the Aragon GP.
