The Dutch cyclist Thymen Arensman (DSM) won today in the 15th stage of the Vuelta a España, on his arrival in Sierra Nevada, while the Belgian Remco Evenepoel (QuickStep-Alpha Vinyl) maintained the leadership of the individual general.
Arensman, 22, completed the 152.6 kilometers between Martos and Sierra Nevada in 4:17.17 hours, 1.23 minutes faster than the Spanish Enric Mas (Movistar), second, and 1.25 than the Colombian Miguel Ángel López (Astana), third.
The ‘queen stage’ of this Vuelta did not change the first places in the general classification, although Mas has come closer to the leader, placing third at 2.01 minutes. Slovenian Primoz Roglic (Jumbo-Visma) is second and is 1.34 behind Evenepoel, who lost time again.
The peloton celebrates this Monday the last rest day of this 77th edition.
