The soccer player Edinho accused this Thursday the president of Villa Athletic, Fábio Lopes, of “lying” when he says that he is looking for solutions to save the club, as he himself has been doing, together with elements of the coaching staff.
“The one who seeks support and gather possible sponsors is me and the elements of the coaching staff. What he came to say, that he came out in the media, that he is looking for a solution together with the group is a lie. because it’s just us,” the Portuguese international told the Portuguese agency.
Fábio Lopes, broadcaster and ‘influencer’ known as Conguito, said on Wednesday that the creation of Villa Athletic, a club that competes in the districts of Portalegre, was not intended to be a business, but “the business of soccer” destroyed it. .
This, after having admitted, this Tuesday, that the newly created club is going through “very difficult days”, due to economic difficulties, and that it is looking for “feasibility solutions” for the project.

But it is necessary that Fábio [Lopes] leave, because what he told our director, Pedro Ribeiro, is that if an investor showed up, they would have to present him with a proposal,” he accused.
