In yet another clip from Cristiano Ronaldo’s interview with British journalist Piers Morgan, the Portugal international opened his heart and spoke about the death of one of his twins giving birth in April.
“Probably one of the worst moments I’ve had in my life since my dad died. You know, when you’re waiting for a kid, you expect everything to be normal, and then you have that problem, it’s hard”CR7 recalled.
“Georgina…we had a really hard time because we didn’t understand why this was happening to us. It was hard, to be honest. It was very, very hard to understand what was happening in that period of our lives”continued.
“That moment was probably the hardest moment I’ve had in my life.”

“As you know, football goes on, many competitions, it doesn’t stop. We had a lot of competitions. And going through this moment was probably the hardest thing I’ve had in my life. Me and my family, especially Gio… was difficult”he added.
Ronaldo also confessed mixed feelings: sadness at the death of his son but joy at the birth of the other twin, Bella. “It’s crazy. I’ve tried to explain it to my family and even my closest friends. Like I said, I’ve never felt so happy and sad at the same time. It’s hard to explain. You don’t know if you should do that.” cry or laugh because it’s something you don’t know how to react to. The 37-year-old striker also told how he broached the subject with his other children. “Gio came home and the kids started asking where the other baby was. After a week I said, ‘Let’s be honest with them, let’s say Ángel, that’s his name, went to heaven,'” he revealed.
“The kids understood, we have conversations at the table and they say ‘Dad, I made this for Ángel’ and they point to the sky. I like that because he is part of our lives. I’m not going against him lie the children, I tell the truth, what a difficult process,” he added.
Cristiano Ronaldo is the father of Cristianinho and twins Eva and Mateo, the three born by surrogacy, and Bella and Alana, also children of Georgina Rodríguez.
