FIFA announced on Tuesday the final capacity in the eight stadiums of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, with numbers higher than initially expected and after discrepancies in the first two days of competition.
The organization reported on Monday assists for England-Iran (6-2) and Senegal-Netherlands (0-2) above the official capacity of the respective stadiums, having already done so for the opening game between Qatar and Ecuador (0-2) . -2) on Sunday.
In the inaugural match, FIFA announced that the Al Bayt stadium had 67,372 spectators while the fence capacity was declared as a maximum capacity of 60,000, the same happened in England-Iran (45,334 spectators against 40,000 capacity) and in Senegal- Netherlands (41,721/40,000).
A scenario that has now led FIFA to ‘correct’ the capacity of each stadium, with Al Bayt ‘changing’ to 68,895, Khalifa International to 45,857, Al Thumama to 44,400, Ahmad Bin Ali to 45,032, Lusail to 88,966, 974 to 44,089, Education City to 44,667 and Al Janoub to 44,325.
