This Sunday, Costa Rica added its first victory in the 2022 World Cup in Russia, after the 7-0 win against Spain, by beating Japan, the ‘executioner’ of Germany, 1-0, in the round of 16 of Group E.
A goal by Keysher Fuller, in the 81st minute, sealed the victory for the ‘ticos’, who equalized the three points of the Spanish and Japanese, in a group in which the Germans are last, still at zero.

The match that completes the second day of Group E, between Spain and Germany, will take place at 10:00 p.m. local time (7:00 p.m. in Lisbon), and none of the teams in the group will qualify or be eliminated today.
