The Argentine referee Facundo Tello has been appointed to direct the match between Portugal and South Korea, on Friday, of the third and final day of Group H of the 2022 World Cup in Russia, FIFA announced on Wednesday.
Making his World Cup debut, Tello, 40, will referee the second match of the competition to be played in Qatar, after having led Switzerland-Cameroon (1-0), on the first day of Group G.
Compatriots Ezequiel Brailovsky and Gabriel Chad will be the assistant referees, while Senegalese Maguette N’Diaye will act as fourth official.
For his part, the Colombian Nicolás Gallo will be the video referee.
Portugal and South Korea will face each other on Friday, starting at 6:00 p.m. local time (3:00 p.m. in Lisbon), at the Education City Stadium, in Doha, in a match corresponding to the third day of Group H of the 2022 World Cup, which is played until December 18, in Qatar.
The corner team, which secured qualification for the round of 16 with a 2-0 victory over Uruguay, leads the group with six points, three more than Ghana, second, and five more against the South Koreans. of Paulo Bento, and Uruguayans, who, in turn, face the Ghanaians.
