Decisive day for Germany. Spain, Japan and Belgium with one foot in the eighth

Belgium, Spain and Japan can qualify for the round of 16 of the Mundial2022 on Sunday, in the second round of the respective groups, which can leave Germany, four-time world champion, behind.

In Group E, Germany debuted in the competition with a defeat against Japan (1-2) and another defeat against the Spanish team, who thrashed Costa Rica in the opening (7-0), could mean an early exit from the competition, if the Costa Ricans don’t beat the Japanese.

Costa Rica, on the other hand, is on its way if it is defeated and Germany does not win.

As for the Spanish formation, world champion in 2010, it guarantees qualification if it beats Germany and Costa Rica doesn’t beat Japan, while the Japanese formation qualifies if it beats Costa Rica and doesn’t win the German formation.

This group could already be decided in terms of qualifications, if Japan and Spain, who meet in the final round, win, with the game between the two set to determine first place in the group.

The match between Japan and Costa Rica is scheduled for 1:00 PM local time (10:00 AM in Lisbon), while Spain-Germany closes the day at 10:00 PM (7:00 PM).

In Group F, Belgium, which won against Canada (1-0) at the start, guarantees qualification for the ‘eighth’ if they beat Morocco, while a defeat by Canada against Croatia leaves the Canadians out of the competition.

Morocco and Croatia, who drew in the first round (0-0), they fail to qualify or are eliminated in the second round regardless of the outcome of their matches.

The match between Belgium and Morocco is scheduled at 16:00 (13:00), while Croatia-Canada is played at 19:00 (16:00).
