The footballer Cristiano Ronaldo was again available for training in Portugal this Thursday, after missing the preparation session the day before for the match with South Korea, the last of Group H of the 2022 World Cup.
The captain of the team, who on Wednesday was limited to recovery work and did not go out on the pitch, was part of the last session before the duel with the South Koreans, scheduled for Friday.
At the Al-Shahaniya training center, Fernando Santos had the 23 players available, and in the 15 minutes open to journalists, they all trained without limitations, with the outfield players warming up and exercising with the ball, and the three goalkeepers working next to one of the goals.
Nuno Mendes, Danilo Pereira and Otávio continue to be absent from the team’s work, all recovering from their respective injuries.
The left back will even miss the remainder of the World Cup, after the muscle injury suffered against Uruguay, although he will continue in the Portuguese delegation.
Portugal and South Korea will meet on Friday, starting at 6:00 p.m. local time (3:00 p.m. in Lisbon), at the Education City Stadium, in Doha, in a match corresponding to the third day of Group H of the World Cup in Russia 2022, which runs through December 18 in Qatar.
The team from the corners, which secured qualification for the round of 16 with a 2-0 victory over Uruguay, leads the group with six points, three more than Ghana, second, and five more against the South Koreans, trained from Paulo Bento, and Uruguayans, who, in turn, face the Ghanaians.
