Uruguay was eliminated this Friday from the 2022 World Cup in Russia, despite having won Ghana 2-0, based on goals scored in the tournament.
With the victory, the Uruguayans added four points, but they only scored two of the four goals scored by the South Koreans, two of them this afternoon, in the 2-1 victory over Portugal.
The two goals for the Uruguayans in this match -and also in the entire World Cup- were scored by De Arrascaeta in the 26th and 32nd minute.
In qualifying, Portugal had six points, against four from South Korea and Uruguay, with the advantage of the Asians in goals scored (4-4 against 2-2), and three from Ghana.
