Access to sports venues was banned in November for more than 30 fans for not respecting the rules, filed this Tuesday by the Authority for the Prevention and Combating of Violence in Sport (APCVD), which saw 28 individuals removed from pyrotechnics.
“In the month of November, 30 fans were denied access to sports venues, in accordance with a decision by the APCVD. Of the 30 bans applied, 28 related to situations of possession and use of fireworks, which took place in various sports shows,” reads in the statement of the entity.
The APCVD points out that the highest incidence of these penalties comes from the matches of the Supertaça Cândido de Oliveira 2022, FC Porto-Sporting (third round), FC Porto-Sporting de Braga (eighth round) and Benfica-Juventus, of Liga of champions.
“Of the sanctions observed, the case of a supporter who was denied access to sports venues after throwing a bottle of water in the direction of the 4th referee (match between Futebol Clube de Vizela vs Futebol Clube de Arouca, referring to the 12th 2nd round of the I Liga) and a judgmental decision that led to the imposition of a fine of 2,500 euros and a ban on access to sports venues for a period of 12 months against a sports agent of Sport Futebol Damaiense, for insults and threats against of the referees in a match of the Junior District Championship, a competition organized by the Lisbon Football Association,” the APCVD said.
Finally, from the list of decisions now published, relating to the month of November 2022, there are also two final sentencing decisions that culminated in the forced payment of the fine by the offenders (one of the cases 1,000 euros and the other 500 euros, plus costs) after a judicial execution action, since, after the violation and the closure of the respective administrative infringement procedures, the defendants have not paid the said fines within the legally stipulated period.
