Experienced Mexican international goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa, fresh from América, has signed a six-month contract with Salernitana, the 12th-ranked club in the Italian soccer league announced Friday.
In a brief note posted on the official website, the Salerno shield reported that the 37-year-old goalkeeper “has joined the club until June 30, 2023, with the option to extend” this link.
Ochoa finished his second stage at América, in Mexico, earlier this week, after defending the Mexican team in the 2022 World Cup, in what was ‘Memo’s’ fifth participation in a World Cup.
In addition to América, the goalkeeper, who has made 135 appearances with the ‘Azteca’ team, has stages in Ajaccio, Málaga, Granada and Standard Liege to his credit.
