FC Porto seeks to maintain 2nd place and stay five points behind leader Benfica

This Saturday, FC Porto seeks to secure second place in the Portuguese First League and stay five points behind leader Benfica, in the visit to Casa Pia, in a game on matchday 15.

At the Estádio do Jamor, home ceded by the ‘geese’, the national champions will seek, starting at 8:30 p.m., to imitate the triumphs of Benfica (1-0 at home against Portimonense) and Sporting de Braga (4- 0 at Santa Clara’s house).

FC Porto is, provisionally, eight points behind Benfica and two behind Sporting Braga, visiting the surprising Casa Pia, which is fifth in the year of its return to the I Liga.

In case of victory, Casa Pia could provisionally overtake Sporting in fourth place, which only plays on Sunday at Marítimo’s home, 17th and penultimate.

Vitória de Guimarães, three points behind Casa Pia, receives Rio Ave at 6:00 p.m., eighth and which can surpass Portimonense in the standings.

In the first match of the day, scheduled for 3:30 p.m., Arouca, ninth tied with Vila-Condenses, hosts Estoril Praia, 13th, with 16.
