UEFA investigates racist behavior at PSG-Juventus Champions League match

UEFA will open an investigation into the incidents that occurred during the Champions League match between Paris-Saint Germain and Juventus, which resulted in the arrest of four fans for inciting racial hatred, the organization announced on Monday.

Juventus fans, who lost 2-1 in Paris at the opening of Group H, were accused, mainly through the use of photos and videos on social networks, of having behaved in a racist manner, with Nazi gestures, sounds and movements. monkey

According to the governing body of European football, a UEFA inspector has already been appointed to lead this “disciplinary investigation”, in which at least four people are already implicated after being detained by the French police.

French police authorities announced that the four people arrested “were identified by video and then arrested” on the same night of Tuesday, September 6 for “public incitement to racial hatred in a sports venue.”

UEFA did not give a specific date to announce the results of the investigation, while the group H second round match between the two teams is scheduled for November 2 in Turin.
