Signed until 2028. Benfica makes Casper Tengstedt official

This Wednesday evening, Benfica confirmed the signing of striker Casper Tengstedt, aged 22. The Dane, a former player of Rosenborg, signed a contract that runs until 2028. The transfer cost about eight million euros.

In Rosenborg, Tengsted entered the 17th round on August 6 and immediately took the title, with 14 games played, until the 30th and final round in the Norwegian league, with 14 goals scored and seven assists.

The striker is Benfica’s first reinforcement as the transfer market reopens, after the Luz club also lost Diogo Gonçalves and Rodrigo Pinho, who moved to Copenhagen and Coritiba respectively.

Along the way, Tangstedt trained with Midtjylland and was loaned to Germany’s Nuremberg (2019/2020) in the senior squad, before being loaned out again and then transferred permanently to AC Horsens (2020/2022).

Another Scandinavian reinforcement also arrived in Lisbon this Wednesday, Andreas Schjelderup, an 18-year-old Norwegian winger, considered the new football wonder in Norway, a country that currently has some great world talents, such as Erling Haaland or Martin Odegaard, who respectively shine in Manchester City and Arsenal. He comes from Nordsjaelland, from Denmark, a club that has an amount of around nine million euros, with a percentage in a future sale.
