António Conceição followed the path of Sacha Boey for months. The Portuguese coach had the winger that Sporting now follows on the restricted list of players that the national team watches – he led Cameroon between 2019 and 2022 – but the athlete ended up without making his national team debut. Even so, the player’s characteristics lead the Portuguese coach to point out Boey as a good option for Sporting, if Pedro Porro vacates the position of right-back (or full-back) for Rúben Amorim’s team.
“He is a very interesting player, as an offensive winger. He is very dynamic, he has good technical quality, he likes to attack and give assists. An interesting player. I don’t know if Sporting will sign him or not, but he could be very good for the team. Portuguese Championship”, stresses the 61-year-old Portuguese coach.
