Benfica ends this Saturday away from home the first matchday of the I Liga with Santa Clara, the opponent at the bottom of the table.
In the Azores, in a match that begins at 5:00 p.m. local time (6:00 p.m. in Lisbon), Roger Schmidt’s team will be without the starting captain Nicolás Otamendi, suspended after having completed the series of five yellow cards.
Santa Clara, which has gone seven games without winning, three of them in the league, will have coach Jorge Simão in charge of their second game, in which they will also be without defender Pierre Sagna, suspended after being sent off on the last day.
