The Portuguese Maria Martins was crowned this Wednesday European champion of scratchby winning gold at the European Track Cycling Championships, which takes place in Grenchen, Switzerland.
“Tata” Martins defeated the Spanish Eukene Larrarte, and the Polish Daria Pikulik took the bronze.
The 23-year-old Portuguese woman added today’s gold to the bronze medal won in the same discipline at the 2020 Elite World Championship.
