Filipa Martins gets bronze on beam at the Cottbus World Cup

Portuguese Olympic gymnast Filipa Martins won the bronze medal on Sunday in the balance beam final of the Artistic World Cup in Cottbus, Germany, on her return to competition after injury.

Without competing for a long time, while overcoming physical problems, the Portuguese gymnast scored 13,133 points in the apparatus final, achieving third place at the start of the World Cup.

Above, only the Japanese Mana Okamura, gold with 14,133, and another Japanese, Urrara Ashikawa, second with 14,066.

Before, in the first days of competition, the Olympian had secured the final on the beam with 13,000, in a qualification in which Mariana Parente was 13th, the best result of the young woman, who had been 20th solo.

In men, Guilherme Campos achieved the 30th record on the high bar, after Filipa Martins had already achieved 17th place on the uneven bars, in which Parente was 25th.

Campos and Marcelo Marques were 23rd and 24th on the ground, respectively, with Marques again 24th on pommel horse.
