Teresa Bonvalot falls in the round of 16 against the reigning champion of Peniche

The Portuguese surfer Teresa Bonvalot said goodbye this Monday to the Portuguese competition in the main circuit of the World Surfing League (WSL), when she was eliminated in the round of 16 by the Brazilian Tatiana Weston-Webb, winner last year in Supertubos.

With the sea smaller than on Sunday, but still quite powerful, ‘Teresinha’ scored 9.60 points in his two best waves (5.10 and 4.50), out of 20 possible, while his opponent got 11.07 points. (5.67 and 5.40).

Teresa Bonvalot, who took part in this elite test in place of the injured Johanne Defay, finished her participation in ninth position.

The MEO Rip Curl Pro Portugal, the third leg of the WSL’s main circuit, kicked off on Saturday, after three days of waiting for the best conditions, and will run until March 16.
