It’s official: there are already dates and times for Benfica’s matches against Inter Milan, counted for the quarterfinals of the Champions League. The first leg will take place on April 11, at the Estádio da Luz. Eight days later, on April 19, the second leg will be played at the Giuseppe Meazza Stadium. Both meetings are scheduled for 8:00 p.m.
Benfica will face the Italians of Inter Milan in the quarterfinals of the Champions League, according to the draw held this Friday in Nyon, Switzerland.
The ‘incarnated’, twice European champions in 1960/61 and 1961/62, never made it past the quarterfinals in the ‘Champions’ era (since 1992/93), a phase in which they ‘fell’ five times, in 1994 /95 (AC Milan), 2005/06 (FC Barcelona), 2011/12 (Chelsea), 2015/16 (Bayern Munich) and 2021/22 (Liverpool).
In the event of managing to eliminate either Inter, or Benfica, they will face the meias-finais or the winner of the tie between the equally Italians of AC Milan and Naples, with the first hand, on May 09 or 10, and the second in Lisbon, on May 16 or 17 of May.
The final of the 2022/23 edition of the Champions League is scheduled for June 10, at the Atatürk Olympic Stadium, in Istanbul, Turkey.
