FC Porto’s president dismissed this Monday that there had been a “lack of investment” in the main football team, guaranteeing that a possible budget increase next season is unrelated to the club’s elections.
“It is not true that there is a lack of investment. I remember that this season we bought Grujic for 10 million euros. [ME], Gabriel Veron for 10 ME, David Carmo for 20 ME and others, such as Eustáquio. There was no shortage of investments. The manager, who was present this Monday at the 20th gala of the newspaper O Gaiense, in Vila Nova de Gaia, stressed that in his managerial career he had never “attracted players or coaches to win elections”.
