This Saturday, Portugal has its last training session on national soil and travels early in the afternoon to Luxembourg, where it will face the local team on Sunday, in the second day of Group J qualifying for Euro 2024 soccer.
The team led by the Spanish Roberto Martínez has a session scheduled for 10:15 am, at Cidade do Futebol, in Oeiras, with the first 15 minutes open to the media.
After lunch, at 2:15 p.m., the Portuguese delegation travels to Luxembourg and, at 7:00 p.m. local time (6:00 p.m. in Lisbon), coach Roberto Martínez and a player yet to be named will advance the duel with the ‘ Red Lions’ at a press conference at the Stade de Luxembourg.
At the start of Group J, at the Estádio José Alvalade, Portugal thrashed Liechtenstein, 4-0, with a ‘double’ from captain Cristiano Ronaldo and goals from João Cancelo and Bernardo Silva, while Luxembourg obtained a surprise draw in Slovakia ( 0-0).
The match is scheduled for Sunday, starting at 8:45 p.m. local time (7:45 p.m. in Lisbon), at the Stade de Luxembourg, a modern venue inaugurated in July 2021, and will be refereed by the Romanian Radu Petrescu.
