The Portuguese qualifier Henrique Rocha, making his debut on the main board of an ATP tournament, fell this Tuesday in the first round of the Estoril Open, losing in straight sets against the Spanish tennis player Bernabé Zapata Miralles.
The young man from Porto, who turns 19 this Thursday, could not counteract the favoritism of the 43rd ranked in the ATP ranking, who prevailed with partials of 6-4 and 6-2, in one hour and 37 minutes.
Henrique Rocha, 596th in the world hierarchy, received an invitation from the organization to play the qualifying phase of the only Portuguese ATP tournament, guaranteeing his presence in the main draw thanks to victories over the British Ryan Peniston (159th) and the Hungarian Mate Valkusz (262nd), in which he did not concede a set.
