The Portuguese under-21 football team thrashed Georgia 4-1 this Saturday, in a friendly played in Covilhã.
Paulo Bernardo, in the 16th minute, and Samuel Costa, six minutes later, put the “quinas” team ahead 2-0 at the break, while Moistsrapishvili, in the 54th minute, brought the Georgians down, against Henrique Araújo, in the 63rd , and Afonso Sousa, in 76, marked the final result.
The charity match, the proceeds of which reverted to the Associação Guardiões da Serra da Estrela, marked the beginning of the Portuguese preparation for the final phase of Euro 2023, whose final phase will be played in Georgia and Romania.
