The canoeists Teresa Portela and Fernando Pimenta won this Sunday the bronze in the 500 K2 mixed meters in the I World Cup in Szeged, Hungary, the sixth medal for Portugal and the third for Pimenta.
The Portuguese pair finished the race with a time of 1.37.79 minutes, behind two Australian pairs, with Alyssa Bull and Jackson Collins securing gold, while Riley Fitzsimmons and Yale Steinepreis took silver.
This is the sixth medal won by Portugal in this speed canoeing competition, with Fernando Pimenta today adding bronze to gold in the K1 500 meters and silver in the K1 1000 meters, while paracanoeist Norberto Mourão won gold in the VL2 200 meters , Hélder Silva took the silver in the C1 200 meters and the duo João Ribeiro and Messias Baptista took the bronze in the K2 500 meters.
