Bayer Leverkusen confirmed on Monday the signing of the Spanish winger Alejandro Grimaldo. The player will join the Bundesliga team next season, having signed a contract valid until 2027.
Formed in Barcelona, Grimaldo arrived at Benfica in 2015, winning the title as the left back of the defense. With an eagle on his chest, he won three championships, a Portuguese Cup, a League Cup and three Super Cups.
“I’m very happy. I am sure that everything will go well and I will achieve many successes in the coming years”, says the full-back in statements to the club’s television.
The 27-year-old Spanish player trained at Valencia and completed it at FC Barcelona, after signing for Benfica during the 2015/16 season and staying with the reds until this season, in which he was proclaimed three times national champion (2015/16). 16, 2016/17 and 2018/19), playing a total of 301 games so far and scoring 26 goals.
