The Portuguese Marco Silva, from Fulham, is one of the six coaches nominated for the 2022/23 edition of the English Football League coach of the year award, the competition organizers announced Thursday.

Also in the running for the Premier League manager of the year award are Pep Guardiola (Manchester City), Mikel Arteta (Arsenal), Roberto de Zerbi (Brighton), Unai Emery (Aston Villa) and Eddie Howe (Newcastle).
Currently, José Mourinho is the only Portuguese to win this award, in the 2004/05, 2005/06 and 2014/15 seasons, always in charge of Chelsea.
