The Brazilian goalkeeper Rafael Bracali announced this Thursday that he will end his career at the end of this season, at the age of 42.

On social networks, Boavista, the club that the goalkeeper represents and of which he is captain, writes that Bracali will be honored before this Saturday’s game against SC Braga.

In message shared on the club’s official websitethe Brazilian goalkeeper guarantees that “every moment” of the 24-year career that he has already carried out “was worth it”.

“Perhaps I could even continue playing for a year or two,” acknowledges the goalkeeper, who confesses, however, that “my heart, my body and my conscience say that the time has come to stop.”

“THANK YOU very, very much for everything and therefore! Eternal gratitude. Once a Pantera, always a Pantera”, he says goodbye.

At Boavista since 2018, Bracali spent most of his career with Portuguese clubs. He arrived at Nacional da Madeira in 2006 after having represented the Brazilian full-back Paulista, and five years later he was hired by FC Porto.

He spent time on loan at Olhanense, represented the Greeks Panetolikos and, in 2015, returned to Portugal to represent Arouca, where he stayed for three seasons before signing for Bessa.

He played more than 260 games in the Portuguese League and, in total, more than 300 in Portuguese football.
