The mayor of Lisbon, Carlos Moedas, honored Benfica this Monday for winning the 38th title of national soccer champion, considering that the players gave “everything” and “their lives” for the feat achieved.
“The most important message is for the players, for our champions. You gave everything, you gave your life, your youth, your family moments, your sacrifice in favor of sport”, praised the mayor of Lisbon.
After the title won by Benfica, on Saturday, Carlos Moedas received the delegation of the red club at the Town Hall, made up of the entire professional squad, coaching staff, coaching staff and government bodies headed by its president, Rui Costa.
