“To avoid overlapping dates, the day of the match will only be known on July 24 after the Champions League draw that determines the date on which Sporting Braga will play the third qualifying round of the UEFA competition. “, says the FPF.
Another aspect was the agreement between Benfica and FC Porto not to play on the weekend of August 5 and 6, since these dates coincide with World Youth Day, which Lisbon hosts between August 1 and 6. .
The venue for the Super Cup is once again the Estádio Municipal de Aveiro, which has hosted the match in the last three editions and already on a total of 12 occasions, since 2009 – in 2015 and 2019, the venue was the Estádio do Algarve.
